Following us to the Churches and Monasteries Guided Tour, we will discover the most important of these religious treasures and places of worship. During our guided tour, the historic and mythical events surrounding these monuments of worship will be recounted by expert tour-guides, both at the holy places, as well as during our picturesque ride towards the North and West of the Island. A chance to see this magnificent Island from a religious perspective.
Type:Religious, Culture, History

Embarking on the modern coaches, we will drive to the north of the island to visit the women only monastery of Saint Athanasios, where we will have the chance to see the monastery, learn its history and visit the gardens and the icon restoration and painting workshop. The warmth hospitality of the Sisters is something that will accompany you throughout your holidays. Last but certainly not least, after a magnificent ride over the picturesque hills of Corfu, we will arrive at the monastery of Virgin Mary, built on top of the hill, overseeing the peninsula of Paleokastritsa for a full guided tour in the monastery. The magnificent views of Corfu Island through our ride and specifically just before and when we reach the holy monastery are certain to at least impress you. So please bring your cameras with you. Our religious tour will then proceed at the center of the Old town, to visit the churches of Madonna of the Foreigner and St. John’s (where a Captain of the Saint Ouzakof of Russia died in 1799), before we continue our guided tour to Saint Spyridon Church, (where the holly remains of the patron of the Island are kept).
